Trainee Awards
The IMGS is pleased to offer a series of awards to trainees at each annual International Mammalian Genome Conference for outstanding presentations (oral or poster).
To be eligible one must be a pre-doctoral (graduate or undergraduate students) or post-doctoral trainee; and be a current member of the IMGS (including complimentary trainees who are registered for IMGS membership)
The Verne Chapman Young Scientist Award (cash and 2 years on the IMGS secretariat, including full travel scholarships) is given for the most outstanding oral presentation.
The Lorraine Flaherty Awards are given for outstanding presentations at the Trainee Symposium. These presenters have the opportunity to present their work during the main sessions.
Several other awards are given for outstanding oral or poster presentations. These awards consist of cash, other society memberships or meeting registration fees, or books.
The Nomenclature Poster Award is given for the poster with the most accurate nomenclature as judged by a member of the International Committee on Standardized Genetic Nomenclature for Mice.
